When our empty nester clients decided to downsize from their Norwell home, a Marshfield Hills new construction was the perfect place. The house provided lots of architectural interest, giving us a great foundation to work from, but really had no jumping off point from which we could create our overall scheme. We started from scratch with a new hand knotted rug in the living room, and interesting fabrics were chosen to pull out some of its many colors. Their appreciation for fine antiques allowed us to combine many family pieces with new furniture, most bench made and custom, to meet today’s standard of comfortable living. Now, their main living space flows effortlessly into the kitchen, breakfast nook, formal dining room and master suite.
